Do you direct bill?
Yes. Chinook Mobile Hygiene has access to most major insurance providers.
How is your equipment sterilized?
Just like any dental office, Chinook Mobile Hygiene has been fully inspected by the Alberta College of Dental Hygienists and follows all procedures and protocols required to properly sterilize instruments.
Will it cost me more than going to a clinic?
No, it will not. Chinook Mobile Hygiene's prices follow the Alberta fee guides. We will apply your insurance the same as a clinic would.
Is there a travel fee?
No travel fee.
How much space is needed for the mobile cleaning?
Our mobile unit consists of a reclining chair, a dental unit, and a small table. To set up, we need approximately 2 square metres. Additionally, we need access to a sink.
I'm a senior. Will I be covered under the Alberta Dental Assistance for Seniors Plan?
Coverage is based on income. Most seniors are covered under the Alberta Seniors’ Dental Program, but an application is required. For more information on this, and to apply, please call 1-877-644-9992 or click here.
Getting out of my wheelchair is difficult. Can I receive treatment while in my wheelchair?
We understand and recognize the difficulty. Yes, we can perform treatment for you in your wheelchair. You will be seated upright rather than laying back. Your comfort during treatment is our central focus. You get to decide what that looks like for you.
Should I still see my dentist?
It is recommended to see a dentist annually. We can refer to a dentist of your choice if we see that a restoration (filling) is required and can easily email any treatment notes over to that office to avoid duplication.
